At Roalin, we believe privacy is fundamental to a healthy community. This Privacy Policy explains what information Roalin collects, how we use and protect it, when information may be shared, how long it may be retained, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to the Roalin mobile applications, website, and Roalin features including Date Night. Some features may have additional in-app disclosures or consent screens that provide more specific information before you use them.
Account Information: When you create a Roalin account, we may collect:

Content You Create: We may process posts, comments, crew content, messages, event plans, reports, support communications, and other content you submit through Roalin.
Usage and Device Information: We may collect information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Roalin, such as app activity, feature usage, device type, operating system, IP address, diagnostic information, and error reports.
Location Information: Some Roalin features may use country, city, approximate location, or device location when you choose to enable location-based features. Precise location is only used for features that require it and subject to device permission and applicable in-app controls.
Date Night is an optional adult-only feature. It is intended only for eligible users age 18 or older. Date Night access is controlled separately from the rest of Roalin and requires explicit opt-in and acceptance of Date Night-specific terms and consent.
Date Night Profile Information: If you enable Date Night, we may collect and process:
Adult Eligibility and Verification: Date Night may use information such as:
Verification information is used to support trust, eligibility, fraud prevention, and safety. Verification materials are not displayed publicly unless a feature expressly tells you otherwise.
Date Night Communications: Date Night may process:
Voice and video calls may use real-time network services to establish and maintain the connection. Roalin may retain call-related operational and billing records needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and maintain account balances.
Date Planning and Venue Information: When you plan a Date Night, we may process:
Temporary Precise Location Sharing:
Date Night includes an optional temporary location-sharing feature. If you explicitly start temporary location sharing and grant device location permission, Roalin may receive and process your current latitude, longitude, accuracy, timestamps, and sharing-expiration information. This location is used only for the safety-sharing feature while it is active and is not intended to remain continuously available after you stop sharing or the temporary sharing period expires.
Trusted Contact Safety Sharing:
If you choose a trusted contact and share a Date Night safety plan, Roalin may send that contact a private safety link by email. Depending on the safety tools you enable, the trusted contact may be able to see limited information such as:
A trusted-contact safety link is private and intended only for the selected contact. Revoking the safety share disables the active link and stops further sharing through that safety share.
Safety Check-Ins, Reports, and Support:
Date Night may store safety check-ins and responses such as “I’m good,” “Date ended,” or “Need help,” along with reports, moderation records, blocks, trusted-contact notifications, and Date Night support tickets. These records may be reviewed when necessary to investigate safety concerns, enforce Roalin rules, prevent abuse, or respond to support requests.
Private Post-Date Reflections:
After a Date Night, you may submit a private reflection. These responses are not intended to become public dating ratings or public reviews. Roalin may use them to determine private connection outcomes, safety signals, reliability information, and whether mutual interest exists. One-sided romantic decisions are not disclosed to the other person as a rejection score or public rating.
Date Night Calling Purchases:
If you purchase Date Night calling minutes, Roalin may process transaction identifiers, package information, account balance, purchased minutes, call usage, refunds, and related financial records. Payment card information is generally processed by our payment provider rather than stored directly by Roalin.

We do not sell your personal information to third-party advertisers. We do not provide your private Date Night reflections to other users as public dating scores.
With Other Roalin Users:
Information you intentionally make visible through a Roalin or Date Night profile may be shown to other users according to the feature and your privacy settings.
With a Trusted Contact:
Date Night safety information is shared with your selected trusted contact only when you intentionally activate the applicable safety-sharing feature, as described above.
With Service Providers:
We use service providers to operate Roalin. Depending on the feature, these providers may include hosting and storage providers, email and push-notification services, payment processors, mapping and place-search providers, network connectivity providers for real-time calling, analytics, security, and error-monitoring services.
Examples of services used by Roalin features may include Stripe for payment processing, Google Places for venue search and place information, Expo services for push notifications, and network traversal services used to establish real-time Date Night voice/video connections. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary for the applicable service, subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.
Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons:
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, valid legal process, protect the rights or safety of users or others, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our terms, or respond to an emergency involving a risk of serious harm.
Business Transfers:
If Roalin is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.
Storage: Roalin uses secured server and storage infrastructure to operate the service. Data may be processed in the United States or other locations where Roalin or its service providers operate.
Security Measures: We use technical and organizational safeguards such as:
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We work to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Roalin, maintain account and feature functionality, protect users, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, meet legal or financial obligations, and enforce our agreements.
Different information may have different retention needs, including:
When information is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes, we may delete, de-identify, aggregate, or otherwise minimize it, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Profile Privacy: You can use available privacy controls to limit who can view certain Roalin content.
Communication Controls: You can control available messaging, blocking, and notification settings.
Location Controls: You can deny or revoke device location permission. Date Night temporary precise-location sharing can also be stopped from within the Date Night safety tools.
Date Night Opt-Out: You can turn off Date Night availability or delete your Date Night profile without deleting your main Roalin account.
Date Night Profile Deletion:
When you delete your Date Night profile, Roalin removes or disables user-facing Date Night profile information and dating participation. Certain limited records may be retained or minimized where necessary for safety, moderation, consent auditing, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or financial/accounting requirements. This may include safety reports, moderation records, consent history, calling usage, purchases, refunds, or related transaction records.
Main Roalin Account Deletion:
You may request deletion of your Roalin account using the available in-app account deletion feature or by contacting Roalin. Account deletion is separate from merely disabling or pausing an account. Certain information may be retained where permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, financial records, dispute resolution, or protection of other users.
Access and Correction:
You may review and update many account and profile details directly in Roalin. You may also contact us to request access to or correction of information, subject to applicable law.
Revoking Consent:
Where processing depends on optional consent, you may withdraw that consent by disabling the applicable feature, changing available settings, revoking device permissions, deleting the applicable Date Night profile, or contacting Roalin.
Roalin accounts are not available to children under 13. Roalin supports eligible teen accounts for users ages 13–17 with age-appropriate protections and, where required by Roalin's safety process, parent or guardian verification and consent.
Date Night is never available to teen accounts. Date Night is restricted to eligible adults age 18 or older and is protected by backend eligibility checks in addition to the user interface.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information to Roalin, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Roalin is available in multiple countries and regions. Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy, consent, age, safety, and retention requirements may vary by region, and Roalin may apply additional regional disclosures, eligibility rules, safety resources, or controls where appropriate.
Date Night may not be available in every country where the broader Roalin service is available. Regional Date Night availability and requirements may change as Roalin expands.
Roalin may contain links to third-party websites, maps, calendars, payment services, or other services. When you choose to interact with an external service, its own privacy policy and terms may apply.
Third-party software and service providers integrated into Roalin are expected to handle information with protections appropriate to their role and applicable law. Roalin reviews service providers and seeks to limit information sharing to what is reasonably necessary to provide the relevant functionality.
We may update this Privacy Policy as Roalin develops, laws change, or new features are introduced. We may provide notice of material changes through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method. The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the current version.
